HIGHLAND PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
A cooperative effort with other Old Southwest churches (Congregations in Action) to provide school supplies, weekend snacks, a Fun Day, and other support to the staff and teachers at the school.
August is school supplies month for our donation center.
There are several sites where students can get their school supplies; therefore, we will be collecting items that the Highland Park teachers need for their classrooms. We will also collect items that the students need continually throughout the school year. We are again working with the Second Grade Teachers at Highland Park. Following are the items they could use to help their students this year:
Glue Sticks
Baby wipes or Clorox wipes
Bottles of glue
Boxes of tissues
Crayons
Pencils
Dry Erase Markers
Notebook Paper
Folders
Scissors Baggies (quart and gallon size)
Index cards

We provide diapers, wipes and baby bath products to struggling parents quarterly. We receive requests from our local agencies for the orders and we deliver the bags to the agencies for the parents to pick up.

DONATION NOOK AT GREENE MEMORIAL
We collect needed items for RAM, Turning Point, Samaritan Inn, Highland Park Elementary and LOA Soup for seniors. We designate monthly needs for the agencies on a rotating basis.
RAM HOUSE
RAM (Roanoke Area Ministries) provides lunch daily and other services to those in need. Our members prepare lunch at RAM House the 4th Saturday of every month. We take up a collection at our Wednesday Noon day Services to go to RAM House and we sponsor a First Sunday food collection for them collecting specific needs upon their request. We also provide monetary support to RAM House as well as diapers and wipes for their clients.
